• Booking Your Session
  The best time to book is while you’re still pregnant — most parents reserve a spot between 12–20 weeks. I’ll pencil you in for a date around your due date, and once baby arrives, we’ll confirm the exact session time (ideally within the first 14 days, when they’re still tiny and sleepy).
• Before the Session
  About a week before your shoot, I’ll give you a friendly phone call to go over everything — from how to prepare your baby to what to bring along. I’ll also follow up with an email so you have all the details handy on the day.
• Arriving at the Studio
  My cosy Sandwich home studio is warm, quiet, and set up so you feel instantly at home. Parents can relax on the sofa with a tea or coffee, watch TV, or keep little ones entertained while I work. Everything we need is here, so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.
• During the Session
  Sessions usually last 3–4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, changing, and cuddles. I work entirely at your baby’s pace, gently posing them in styled set-ups that highlight their delicate size, sweet features, and those gorgeous newborn scrunches. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities.
• Viewing & Ordering
  Around 1–2 weeks after your session, you’ll return to my home studio for your personal viewing and ordering appointment. You’ll see a fully edited gallery of around 20 images, and from there you can choose your favourite image collection package and order any products you wish — from albums and frames to prints and wall art.

This is not a problem, we pencil in your date for around 8 days after your due date, if baby is early or late, just let us know and we can readjust your date.

How long after the session will I see my images?

You will be invited back to see your gallery of finished images, usually 1-2 weeks after your session date.

We begin with your baby on the posing table. This is when they’re often at their sleepiest, making it the perfect time for those beautiful, peaceful portraits that highlight all their tiny details. Starting here also helps your baby ease into the session in a safe and comfortable way.

2. Props & Sibling Photos
Once we’ve captured those precious early portraits, we move on to prop setups from our carefully chosen studio collection. This is also when siblings join in — by now they’re usually more relaxed and ready for their special moment with the new baby.

3. Family Portraits
We finish with family photos, capturing the connection, pride, and joy you all share. By the end of the session, babies are often happiest in their parents’ arms, which makes these images feel naturally warm and loving.

Delivery & Next Steps

Before you leave your newborn session, we’ll book your viewing and ordering appointment so you know exactly when you’ll be returning to see your finished images.

After your session, I carefully select and hand-edit each photograph to ensure your gallery is finished to the highest standard. This process is usually complete within 1–2 weeks.

When you return for your viewing and ordering appointment, you’ll see your gallery for the first time in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Together, we’ll go through your images, select your favourites, and choose the package and products that best suit your family. Payment is made at this appointment.

Digital images are delivered via a secure online gallery link, sent to your email shortly after your appointment, so you can download and enjoy them right away.

If you order prints, wall art, or albums, I’ll process these after your appointment. Delivery times for printed products vary, but I’ll keep you updated — and you can collect them from the studio once they arrive.
