There’s more to a newborn session than creating beautiful photographs. It’s about knowing your baby is in experienced, gentle hands, so you can feel comfortable and enjoy the experience too.
Every baby is different
Some babies settle into a lovely deep sleep, while others are much more interested in what’s happening around them.
I work with each baby as they are, allowig time for whatever they need rather than expecting every session to folow the same plan.
Safe, Gentle Posing
Your baby’s comfort and safety always come first. Each pose is carefully chosen and gently supported, and I’ll never insist on a position that doesn’t feel right for your baby.
A Studio Prepared for You
Everything needed for your baby’s photographs is ready and waiting at the studio, from beautiful wraps and blankets to carefully chosen outfits and props. There’s no need to bring anything special for the photographs, unless there’s something personal you’d love to include.
HOW A NEWBORN SESSION WORKS
1. Reserve Your Due Date
Newborn sessions are best booked during pregnancy, ideally after your 20 week scan. Your session is pencilled in around your due date, then confirmed once baby arrives.
2. Your Newborn Photography Session
Your newborn session can last up to four hour, giving us time to create a beautiful varity of portraits without rushing.
We’ll begin with individual photographs of your baby, using carefully chosen colours , wraps and styling. We’ll also create photographs of you together as a family, including individual portraits with each parent,
3. View Your Finished Gallery
Around 1-2 weeks later, you’ll return to the studio to enjoy a cinematic slideshow of your beautifully edited gallery. I’ll guide you through your images and help you choose the collection and artwork that feels right for your family.
Our Newborn Photography packages
A £69 session fee reserves space in my diary around your baby’s due date. Once your little one arrives, we’ll arrange a date for your newborn session.
The session fee covers your photography experience and is separate from your image collections.
There is nothing further to pay until your viewing appointment, where you’ll see your finished photographs and choose the images and artwork you’d love to take home.

When is the best time to book a newborn photoshoot?
I recommed booking your newborn session while your’re still pregnant, ideally after your 20 week scan. This allows me to reserve soace in my diary around your due date.
Don’t worry of your baby arives earlier or layer than expected. once your little one is here, we’ll arrage a date for your photoshoot.
When is the best age for newborn photos?
Ideally, I recommend photographing newborn between 5 and 14 days old, when they’re usually sleepier and still naturally curl inot those lovely newbonr poses.
But if your baby is a littel older, please don’t worry. Every baby is dfferent, and we can still create beautiful photographs, working with your baby at their own pace.
What I f my baby won't sleep during their newborn photoshoot?
Please don’t worry if your baby doesn’t settle straight away. Every baby is different, and there’s plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling throughout your session.
I always work at your baby’s pace, gently adapting the poses and photographs to suit them. Some of the loveliest photographs can be taken when babies are wide awake, too!
Can parents and siblings be included in newborn photographs?
Absolutely! Your newborn session isn’t just about photographing your baby. It’s also a lovely opportunity to capture some special moments together as a family.
I’ll photograph your baby with you as a family, as well as individual portraits with each parent. Older brothers and sisters are very welcome to be included too.
What should we wear for our newborn family photographs?
I recommend keeping clothing simple, with plain colours and no large patterns or logos, so the focus stays on you and your baby.
Soft, neutral tones work beautifully, but the most important thing is choosing something you feel comfortable and confident wearing. I’m always happy to offer guidance before your session if you’re unsure what to choose.
